City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1) & City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment (PA6a)

Course Code

COMMPA1&PA6/LY
Course Description

PA1 is a compulsory module that must be completed before any applicator tests. However, PA1 alone does not qualify candidates to apply pesticides; the relevant application module must also be achieved. PA1 training and the E-volve online assessment take place on the first day of the course.

The PA6a course is for those using knapsack or hand-held spraying equipment. Training takes place on day two, with the practical assessment scheduled for day three.

Candidates spraying near water will also require the PA6a AW option. We can also arrange training for the INJ unit if needed—please contact us to discuss the best training package for your requirements.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must first achieve PA1 (City & Guilds Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides) before they can be assessed on PA6a.

The minimum age limit for Candidates taking Certificates of Competence is 16 years. There is no upper age limit.
