Learn the basics of grooming your dog, in this practical afternoon course.

Course Description

This course is aimed at dog owners who wish to learn the basics of dog grooming. This is a non-accredited course and upon completion you will recieve an Askham Bryan College Internal certification.

During your time on the course you will learn the following skills;

• Bathing/drying&brushing techniques including; Nail clipping, ear cleaning and dematting.
• Clipping starting points including; shaving paw pads and hygiene trim
• Scissor techniques including; legs/feet, face trim and blending areas&techniques
• Full groom experience start to finish.

 There are no formal qualifications required for this course but experience with dogs is favourable.

Course Duration:

Our introduction to dog grooming course will be 6 weeks long. Delivered every Friday afternoon from 13:15pm-16:15pm.

Dogs must be vaccinated, and must bring own dog with you. Askham Bryan College will not provide the dogs.
