This is an intensive Tree Surgery course focusing on the basic theory components and practical (legislative) requirements to becoming a qualified tree surgeon.

Course Description

The Course includes theory elements including tree identification, pruning, visual tree assessment, pests and diseases. There will be a bespoke timetable with this course which is available upon request. 

Practical qualifications undertaken are: C & G NPTC Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-chipper, C & G NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting (formerly known as CS30), C & G NPTC Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm (formerly CS31), C & G NPTC Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (formerly CS38), C & G NPTC Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness (formerly 39) Emergency First Aid +F and the Lantra basic tree inspection course.

The course fee is £3,990.00

A deposit of £750 must be paid to secure your place on the course. An invoice or direct debit mandate will be sent to you so that the payment of the balance of the course can be arranged with the College Finance Department.

Other importants information:

There are strict PPE requirements for this course which candidates are expected to bring with them. Candidates will be provided with a kit list prior to taking part in the course. Candidates can bring own chainsaws, and climbing equipment, however you must bring LOLER certificates prior. There will be aspects of this course delivered in a remote location, it is not guaranteed that a vehicle will be provided for you. The felling site is aorund 25 minutes away from the College.

This course will not interfere with any public holidays.
