City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1) & City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted, Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers (PA2a)

Course Description

PA1: A compulsory foundation module that must be completed before any applicator tests. PA1 alone does not qualify candidates to apply pesticides; the relevant application module must also be achieved. Training and the computer-based E-volve assessment take place on the first day of the course.

PA2a: Designed for those applying pesticides using self-propelled, mounted, or trailed horizontal boom sprayers.

Please note, on the day it will either be a Quad boom sprayer or tractor sprayer, depending on the availability. If you require a specific boom sprayer please enquire. Candidates MUST have had experience of driving both vehicles prior to attending the course, trainers and assessors reserve the right to postpone training and assessment if they feel candidates need more experience

Other important Information

City and Guilds will no longer produce physical skills card upon a successful completion of this accreditation. Candidates can expect to receive a digital skills card which they will be able to access through their online portal. The training centre will be unable to send or provide this upon completion. All candidates will also need to provide ID on the day of their assessment as proof of identification. Failure to do this may result in your assessment being suspended.
