City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Competence in Chainsaw Maintance and Cross Cutting along with the Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Trees up to 380mm (CS30&CS31).

Course Description

 

This course is designed for an experience chainsaw operator, aswell as indviduals who are new to chainsaws and intend to use them for business, domestic or leisure activities. It is suitable for those seeking contractual work in professional forestry, amenity or arboricultural activities which is likely, immediately or at some future date, to involve felling trees up to 380mm.

Please be advised that this is a 5 day course typically Mon-Friday, with assessments taking place on the Saturday of that same week.

Entry Requirements

Due to the nature of the training a minimum level of fitness will be required for specific operations. Candidates must be at least 16 years old in order to operate a chainsaw.

Other Important Information

City and Guilds will no longer produce physical skills card upon a successful completion of this accreditation. Candidates can expect to receive a digital skills card which they will be able to access through their online portal. The training centre will be unable to send or provide this upon completion. All candidates will also need to provide ID on the day of their assessment as proof of identification. Failure to do this may result in your assessment being suspended.
