Course Description

Over-view: Are you someone who uses a tractor as part of your work, but have never drove one before? - Would you like to eventually progress onto a City and Guilds certificate in tractor driving and related operations or your tractor spraying certificate? If so then this course is for you. This basic tractor driving course is a 1 day course to increase your confidence in operating a tractor and driving a tractor before you progress onto your next stage.

Course content: 

1. Pre-start checks and learn all the adjustments
2. Health and Safety risks assoicated with driving a tractor
3. Understanding what your pre-start checks are
4. Carry out your pre-start checks
5. Understand and learn how the tractor should be manoeuvered and how different weather conditions must be taken into account
6. Learn how to drive the tractor 
7. Leave the tractor safe after use and in a condition suitable for its future use. 

This course requires no experience of driving a tractor, however is highly recommended if you a looking at taking your City and Guilds Tractor Driving and Related operations course, or your Tractor Spraying course (PA2)
