This course is suitable for those who have already achieved their CS30 & CS31 units (C&G NPTC chainsaw maintenance, cross-cut & fell trees up to 380mm) but need to refresh these qualifications

Course Description

This Askham Bryan course is designed for those who already hold the C&G NPTC qualifications, CS30 & CS31 (now known as chainsaw mainteance, cross-cutting & felling trees up to 380mm) but who need to refresh these qualifications.

During the course, candidates will spend some time in the arboriculture workshop undertaking chainsaw maintenance tasks and will transfer to site for the crosscutting and felling elements. The bespoke training will be tailored around the competences demonstrated by the candidates throughout the course. 

Candidates will receive an ABC certificate of attendance briefly outlining the points covered.

It is recommended that candidates attend suitable refresher training for these units at least every 5 years.

Course Requirements

Candidates must already hold the appropriate C&G NPTC qualifications and must have a reasonable level of fitness to undertake some of the operations involved in this qualification.

Candidates are required to provide their own PPE for this course and should bring the chainsaw they normally use with them if possible.
